Award-winning singer and music executive David ”Davido” Adeleke has appealed to fans to support their favourite artistes in a peaceful manner.
His plea comes amid shades and counter shades thrown by his fans as well as those of his colleagues, Wizkid and Burna Boy following his latest historic feat of being featured on FIFA 2022 World Cup Soundtrack.
After it was announced that Davido and two American musicians have been tipped as voices behind FIFA’s first soundtrack for the World Cup, some of his fans mocked Burna and Wiz for not being the ones invited despite the fact they recorded a song titled B D’OR.
In response, their fans attacked Davido and said that he does not have a Grammy Award like both of them.
The DMW boss who seems to have gotten fed-up with the rivalry, took to his Twitter page to urge that all parties to support their faves without attacking anyone.
He went further to congratulate himself and Africa after performing at the World Cup Draw in Qatar.
He wrote; ”Support your fave in peace ! And this goes for my fans too ! Congrats to @FIFAWorldCup congrats to Me and congrats to AFRICA!! 🌍🤞🏾❤️😎”
