“Shattered many lives, tried to destroy mine” — DJ Switch speaks on Lagos Panel’s report on Lekki Tollgate

Disc Jockey and activist, DJ Switch has reacted to the Lagos Panel of Inquiry’s report on the Lekki Tollgate which indicted Nigerian forces.

The Judicial Panel of Inquiry on EndSARS, in its 309-page report submitted to Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday, referred to the Lekki Tollgate shooting of protesters on October 20, 2020 as a “massacre”.

The panel indicted soldiers and Nigerian security agents in the killing and forced disappearances of unarmed youths protesting at the Lekki Tollgate.

Recall that on October 20, 2020, DJ Switch live-streamed the shooting incident of unarmed EndSARS protesters by security forces at the Lekki Tollgate which left scores injured and many dead.

Following her brave act on that day, DJ Switch alleged that threats to her life was made by unknown persons so she had to go into hiding.

But speaking on the recent report, she pointed out how authorities desperately tried to hide the truth but it has eventually come out.

”Shattered so many lives, tried to destroy mine. Only for what you desperately tried to hide to be made public… by you! The truth needs no defense! #EndSARS,” she wrote on social micro-blogging platform, Twitter.
