Nigerian music journalist and podcaster, Joey Akan has lauded reality TV star, White Money for not forgetting his roots and people that helped him when he was a barber.
He recalled how White Money used to cut his hair as a customer in Ojuelegba before he went for Big Brother Naija in 2021.
According to Akan, when he heard the Enugu born singer won Africa’s most popular reality show, he wanted to send congratulatory message but decided not to because he realised people would be bombarding him.
Akan wrote; ”Whitemoney used to be my barber when I lived in Ojuelegba. And he was so jovial a guy.
When he won, I wanted to DM him congratulations out of joy, but didn’t because he’s swarmed by the world. And now, he’s come to look for me. Happy that I’m also doing well. Warms my heart.”
White also reacted to Joey Akan’s tweet via his official Twitter account.
