A brilliant Nigerian Lady named Oluwafunmilayo Oni has emerged as one of the 2% applicants to win the United Kingdom’s Chevening Scholarship, beating over 51840 applicants that competed for the award.
Oluwafunmilayo did not only win the UK Government Chevening Scholarship Award, but she also won the Irish Government Scholarship at the same time both with a second-class lower Bachelor’s degree certificate.
She recalled that she once applied for a scholarship opportunity and was told that her leadership experience was superb and excellent but she did not meet the academic criteria because of her Bachelor’s degree grade.
However, she did not relent on her applications and strive to make an impact in the world. After several attempts, she was awarded two scholarships on the same day.
“This year, I was awarded the Chevening Scholarship and the Irish Aid scholarship on the same day. See God!” she wrote.
